Much like a coach’s playbook in sports, The Healthcare Manager’s Playbook is a collection of tips and insights to help you win as a manager. It is organized so you can easily search for topics based on the challenges you are facing.
My name is Shane Haas. Although my background is in rehabilitation, many of the topics in this playbook apply broadly across healthcare. The content is compilation of real-world experiences and lessons learned from a variety of sources: books, articles, podcasts, blogs, mentors, and more.
Guy Raz, host of the podcast How I Built This and author of the book with the same name, said that “learning from each others mistakes is one of the few shortcuts entrepreneurs can take.” I’d argue that learning from each other’s successes is also a shortcut. This playbook contains both successful strategies and common mistakes. The goal to give you as many shortcuts as possible to support your journey toward becoming a great manager in healthcare.
